Rare Chop House is southern Illinois' premier steak house located in Mount Vernon offering $25 certificates for half price! Rare has a wide selection of dishes such as grilled mahi-mahi, chicken florentine, lobster rolls, hand-cut steaks, and more.  Rare also has a wine cellar with over one hundred different bottles of wine from many regions.  They have a barroom, private conference room, and rooms available to rent as well.
